Aerial Fences is a SaaS platform for aerial monitoring and surveillance of large-scale critical infrastructure, built on drones and artificial intelligence. Traceable, georeferenced, actionable evidence.

The drone flies over the asset or perimeter and captures high-resolution nadir images. While it flies, the photos are projected straight onto the map, with no wait for photogrammetric processing. A computer vision model trained by Robotic Air Systems on more than 2 million of its own aerial images analyses every photo and detects threats on the ground. Each finding becomes a georeferenced alert with its photo, date and its position on the map. To see what changed, you lay each flight next to the previous ones in the comparator: today a person makes that comparison, and having artificial intelligence do it on its own is where we are heading.

Robotic Air Systems (RAS) is the Peruvian company that develops Aerial Fences and runs aerial inspection campaigns with its own fleet of fixed-wing and multirotor aircraft. It has been flying for more than 10 years in Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Bolivia, with more than 600,000 hectares flown, a 100% success rate on critical missions and more than 2 million of its own aerial images, which it used to train its artificial intelligence model. It depends on the drone, the altitude and the required resolution. With the RAS V-OX aircraft, a flight of about 60 minutes covers up to 5,000 hectares or around 100 linear kilometres, and the platform analyses more than 12,000 photos a day. Larger assets are split into segments that are flown in a coordinated way.

Aerial Fences is active, on-demand surveillance: scheduled flights at whatever frequency your operation needs, not a camera that is always on. Depending on the drone and its connectivity, each flight can be followed live as it happens, and a single aircraft can monitor more than 30,000 hectares a day. Every flight stays in the history, and in the comparator you lay it next to the previous ones to see what changed, where and when.

Aerial Fences covers five shapes of territory: areas of thousands of hectares, closed perimeters, lines hundreds of kilometres long, routes with branches and road networks. The fence is drawn over the shape of what you look after, and every flight is measured against that same line.

No. Each flight brings its own findings, sorted and filtered, and you read the change between two dates in the comparator. Today, a specialist also reviews the findings before they reach your team.

Depending on the drone's features and connectivity, the team running the flight follows it on screen: where it is and which ground has been recorded so far. Findings reach you when the flight closes, reviewed by a specialist, and are stored as one more campaign. When there is live tracking, it lasts as long as the flight, and who can see it depends on each person's access.

A report per flight and a weekly one, to download whenever you need them. In each flight report, every finding comes with its date, time, position, section and photo. The weekly report brings together the week's flights with their figures and the most critical findings.

You decide who logs in and what they see. Decision-makers see the whole territory, supervisors see their sections and field staff receive the point they need to check. One project can't see another's, and who logged in and when is recorded.

On the platform, not in scattered files. Every flight, every finding and every field record stays on the same map, so you can come back to it a year from now if needed. The platform can run in the cloud or on a deployment dedicated to your organisation alone.

Field staff can confirm or dismiss each alert from their phone with a photo, so every finding is backed by evidence to act on or report.

Yes: Aerial Fences is used in mining to monitor the whole perimeter of an operation with drones, in a single view. With Aerial Fences, an oil pipeline, a gas pipeline or any other pipeline is monitored with drones by drawing the pipeline as the axis and its right-of-way as distance bands on each side.
