Behind Aerial Fences.

Aerial Fences is the platform of Robotic Air Systems (RAS), a Peruvian technology company focused on drones, with more than ten years of operations in six countries across the region.

Origin

Built from operations.

Aerial Fences was born in the field, not in a lab: RAS is a drone company that, while flying, built the software it needed.

A RAS client needed to watch hundreds of kilometres of infrastructure in remote areas, with the frequency and detail a critical asset demands. We tried the available software and none of it placed the images on the ground with the accuracy that inspection required.

So we built our own platform and the algorithms to project each image in its place. With two million in-house aerial images, gathered over more than ten years of flights, we trained the AI model that analyses every flight today.

  1. 01The need

Hundreds of kilometres of remote infrastructure to watch, with the frequency of a critical asset.

  2. 02The limit

No existing software projected the images on the ground with the accuracy needed.

  3. 03The decision

An in-house platform and algorithms, and an AI model trained on two million RAS images.

Custom development

The same way of working is still open.

When a client has a special requirement the platform does not cover yet, the same team that built it can assess custom development on top of it.

Drones and operations

An in-house fleet, fixed-wing and multirotor.

Each type of aircraft answers a different way of looking at the ground: one covers distance, the other gets close to the detail.

For corridors and large areas.

It takes off vertically and flies like an aeroplane, with no runway needed, to cover distance on every flight.

Multirotor

For detailed inspection.

It flies low and holds position wherever a closer look is needed: a point, a structure, a hard-to-reach place.
